FROM V4 TO P4

> STREETS FOR PEOPLE

Chandigarh, initially designed as a modern Indian city devoid of colonial history, developed through a car-centric mobility as one of its fundamental ethos: our project however, sought to shift the emphasis from vehicular movement to pedestrian and non-motorized mobility as a way to reprioritize accessibilities. Currently dominated by cars, the site of the pilot proposal lacked pedestrian connections and suffered from inefficient parking usage: therefore, the proposal aimed at reprogramming its urbanity by reordering mobilities, positioning productive appropriations, and enhancing ecological connections.
